Down Payment Information

CTE will collect your down payment of $100 at the time of enrollment, the remaining balance will be collected directly by Sierra Nevada College using one of their payment options.

As they relate to Master’s and Post-Master’s programs and partners thereof

The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is a non-profit 501c3 organization which negotiates with participating university partners to offer, administrate and facilitate the delivery of educational programs. As administrators of this account CTE will charge and collect as per information found on our website, the enrollment processes and in these Terms and Conditions.

University Policies. I understand that once enrolled, I am a student of the college and will be subject to any and all rules and policies established by the college. I also agree to hold the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), the college/university or the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) harmless for any failure on my part to meet the terms and conditions of this agreement. Additional applications may be required by each university and will be completed on the first day of class or as outlined by the university/organization.

Program Completion, Cohort Programs and Courses. I understand that if there is any interruption in my program/course attendance or if I am not able to complete my program or the required courses in the time frame outlined by the university I will take the courses at a later date which will be determined by the university, this includes "cohort" type programs. By failing to remain with my program/course schedule, I forfeit the expectancy to finish in the original timeframe. I agree that any courses which need to be made up outside of the scheduled dates frame may be subject to non-CTE pricing. I will not hold CTE or the university accountable for any additional costs once the breach occurs. When I choose to continue I may register with CTE at a future time of enrollment selecting from programs/courses offered and will be subject to terms and conditions and pricing at time of enrollment.

Books and/or Fees. I understand that I am responsible for any and all program fees associated with my courses. I am aware that the tuition price agreed upon at time of application is for tuition only and that text books and other customary fees which the university will impose will not be included in the tuition price. I am aware that official transcripts will not be released until any and all program fees, tuition cost and any other program related cost is satisfied.

Program Change. Once registered in the program/course of choice, I understand that there will be a $25 processing fee for each program selection change and that no program changes will be permitted after the first day of class. Dropping a program and enrolling again within the same registration period will constitute a program change fee. I must notify CTE 72 hours prior to the first day of class in order to avoid a $25 late drop fee.

Withdrawal. I understand that should I choose to withdraw from my program/course, I am obligated to notify CTE via email at www.ctenow.com "contact us" and the sponsoring university. I agree that I will adhere to all university rules and regulations as it pertains to proper withdrawal procedures. After which, CTE will reconcile with the college to determine final balance and any applicable refunds will be issued. If I choose to withdraw after having made a payment I understand that there is a $50 processing fee, which will be collected prior to any refund processing.

Enrollment. I understand that enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. The published pricing reflects a negotiated rate. In the event that enrollment is not realized, I may choose another program/course or my money will be refunded to me within 10 business days in the same payment method as it was received. I agree to notify CTE and the participating university in the event that I am absent from an entire course. I agree to abide by the university's attendance policy which will be provided by each participating university.

Repeating Coursework. I understand that in the event that I do not successfully complete a course or course(s) as outlined in the university/college policies and procedures, it is my responsibility to repeat the course(s) at my own expense and the CTE tuition rate may not apply. The university may impose the standard rate of tuition for any such repeat of coursework and I will not hold CTE or the university responsible for any such CTE negotiated tuition outside the initial agreement for program tuition. It is my responsibility to make arrangements for completion of outstanding coursework and will not hold CTE or the university responsible should the course (s) not be available within a given timeframe. The college will determine if my absence will cause a withdrawal from the program wherein I may return to complete coursework by selecting from programs offered at that time of enrollment and will be subject to terms and conditions and pricing at time of enrollment.

Release of Information. I authorize the university/college to release records and information relating to course performance, unofficial transcripts, tuition, fees, financing, including financial aid status to the Center For Teaching Excellence (CTE).

Payment. I understand that I must choose a payment option in order to complete my enrollment and that payments to CTE will begin when my course/program begins using the payment option I have selected. I understand that for Master's programs (excluding the Ron Clark Academy programs) the program/course cost includes a $1,500 program implementation cost. For Doctorate programs the program implementation cost included is $2,000.

I agree to abide to the selected payment option I have chosen, if I need to change my payment type I must send written request for approval to CTE. I am aware that I am liable for any outstanding debts to the university and CTE and that I will be responsible to pay any and all fees associated to collect any unpaid debt, including but not limited to attorney fees, or expenses incurred by CTE in an effort to collect a debt. Insufficient funds or interruption to any payment plans will result in a $50 transaction fee per instance.

Ron Clark Academy Master’s and Certificate Programs: I understand that I will pay a $100 down payment at the time of enrollment with CTE. This amount will be applied toward my program cost. Sierra Nevada College (SNC) will contact me with information on the easy payment terms as stated on the CTE website for the remaining balance of my program.

Financial Aid. I understand that I must choose a payment option in order to complete my enrollment and that payments to CTE will begin when my course/program begins using the payment option I have selected. I understand that for Master's programs (excluding the Ron Clark Academy programs) the program/course cost includes a $1,500 program implementation cost and for doctorate programs the program cost includes a $2,000 program implementation cost. I agree to abide to the selected payment option I have chosen, if I need to change my payment type I must send written request for approval to CTE. Transcripts. I understand that transcripts may not be released or certificates may not be issued until completion of these terms and full payment is received by CTE.

Licensing. I agree and understand that I will be completely responsible for all licensing and certification matters as it pertains to my individual district, state, and/or other such commission which grants approval for master's degrees and post-master's coursework/programs as it pertains to licensure, certification and movement on the salary schedule. I agree that I have verified and confirmed that the program/courses I have selected will be acceptable and approved for salary increase, licensure and/or certification as it applies to my specific school district, state, local or any other governing board. I agree to hold CTE and the university/college entirely harmless for any and all licensing, certification and salary movement matters.

I understand that I agree to the payment terms which I have selected on this enrollment application and will be implemented upon the submission of my application. I also understand that I will receive periodic updates regarding CTE information.



I have read and consent to all terms and conditions in the aforementioned agreement. I understand and agree that by clicking this box in agreement that it is as if I am signing this document and agree to adhere to all terms and conditions. Enrollment with CTE will be realized with the electronic submission of this application.
